I am BOLD. I RISE.

October 28, 2016

Did y'all miss me? I apologize for not being as consistent as I committed to, these past weeks have been insane. I went from having an idea a little over a month ago, to sharing it with a couple people, and today we start shooting for the I am BOLD. I RISE. Campaign. It still feels so surreal and I have to consistently pinch myself just to make sure I’m not dreaming. This morning I literally sat in my car crying because I could not contain my excitement. Let me tell you, you better be careful what you’re praying for because man when it comes, it will come quick.

So just a little bit about the campaign: I will be highlighting 12 phenomenal women who have BOLDLY stepped into their true selves while RISING above their circumstances. The women I am featuring are all survivors, as many women are. The reason I launched Bold Ascension is because I too rose above my circumstances. I did not allow what happened to me define me nor hold me back. Working on myself has really taught me that you cannot really live the life you want until you complete things from your past and really let go.The purpose of the campaign is to spread a message to all women that they too can overcome anything. These 12 women are very courageous, powerful, and have beautiful souls. Many of you may look at them and think “they’re lucky” but you have no idea what they had to go through.

We will start the photo shoot today and will be done by mid December. There will be a calendar that will be available for purchase that will go in depth in each women’s stories. You definitely want to pick up your copy because I promise you, you will be able to relate to at least one woman's story. It varies from women who struggled to find their voice, teen moms, to women who are survivors of depression and sexual abuse. I know first hand that when you are going through your struggles it is hard to see past the situation at hand or to even understand why its happening. I’m here to tell you to stay strong and keep going. Remember never compare yourself to anyone because you have no idea what goes on in their behind the scenes. The I am BOLD. I RISE. Campaign will empower you to keep pushing forward.

Ariana and I first met at a women’s conference and from the beginning, I knew that she and I would become friends We eventually began to met up to share our stories. As we sat and talked over dinner, Ariana was in tears as I shared my daughter's story with her. She said that I was an amazing and strong mother for standing by my daughter after I found out her father had sexually abused her.
